| The company is not comfortable with the idea of sharing equity merely for the sake of doing so. Instead, we
subscribe to a process that will contribute to capacity building and enterprise ownership. |

| The company has set up a trust for its black employees to share in the equity. 25.01% of Exponant's equity is held by Black people.

| Exponªnt actively pursues ventures with previously disadvantaged individuals and groups. Underpinning this
approach is our belief that such joint ventures augment our capability to provide the best possible solution. |

| In addition, we have implemented a programme to identify and provide training to previously disadvantaged
individuals. Such training is primarily focused on the IT arena. The spirit of our partnership approach is
reflected in the fact that some of our clients have become involved in this initiative. |
