| The company was founded
in 1998 and has since grown to in excess
of 300 people and a turnover of R120
million. |
|
| The successful
management buyout of Brainware
Consulting in August 2000 resulted in
the creation of Exponªnt (Pty) Ltd,
under the leadership of our CEO Marius
Pels. |
|
| 2001 was an exceptional
year for Exponªnt, in February 2001 we
established International ties with new
offshore development projects. In August
2001 Exponªnt won a technical
maintenance project from Unit 4 Agresso
for its ERP system, in a deal worth
R14-million over three years, September
brought more international business with
Exponªnt being awarded an offshore code
conversion contract by KAS Bank
(formerly KAS-Associatie), a specialised
European Investment Bank providing
securities services, valued at R5.5
million. And finally in November 2001
Cell C awarded Exponªnt with contracts
which collectively were valued in excess
of R20 million. |

| In November 2004,
Minister Nconde Balfour launched South
Africa's inmate tracking system,
developed by the Exponªnt/Pytron
Consortium. |
|
| Exponªnt, having been
nominated as one of South Africa's top
300 companies as a result of its
contribution to the growth of the
economy and job creation, concluded a
deal in 2005 whereby Pytron (a Black
owned company) acquired 33% of its
equity. |
|
| The Company began
spreading it’s wings up into Africa and
the Middle East, introducing cellular
payment solutions to Malawi, Gabon,
Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of
Congo, Congo-Brazzaville, Uganda,
Zambia, Kenya, Niger, Sierra Leone and
Burkina Faso. |

| And finally in 2007
Exponªnt achieved a Level 3 Compliancy
on the new B-BBEE Code of Good Practice.
This means that any client procuring
solutions or services from Exponªnt,
will receive credit for 110% of all the
business it does with the company. |
